Problem Note 30890: Error occurs when trying to access Remote Help after changing the port number via the Remote Browser Server dialog box on VMS, UNIX, and z/OS systems
When you try to access Remote Help after changing the port number via the Remote Browser Server dialog box on VMS, UNIX, and z/OS systems, you might see the following error message:
The requested information could not be displayed because the connection to the remote browser server failed.
The message appears because, in order to access the Remote Help, when you change a port number via the Remote Browser Server dialog box, you also need to change the port number via the SAS® session.
To work around the error, when you open the Remote Browser Server dialog box and change the server port number,
also change the port number via the OPTIONS statement in your SAS session.
To make the change, submit the following code and replace
[portnumber] with your server port number:
options helpport=[portnumber];
